The numbers, once a year

Financial statements and activity reports, published after each annual general meeting, and the public registers where the entity can be verified.

The reporting cycle

Step one

Financial year ends

The financial year runs from 1 July to 30 June. Accounts are prepared after the year closes.

Step two

Annual general meeting

Held within five months of the end of the financial year. The directors present the financial statements and a report on the year's activities to members.

The report and statements are published on this page, and the chair's letter on the updates page.

Reports

The Serendib Endowment was incorporated in 2026. Its first full financial year ends on 30 June 2027, so no annual report exists yet.

Covering 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027, including investment returns, distributions made or reasons for reinvesting, and movements in the corpus.

Between reports

Contributors receive a personal update after each distribution to Sri Lanka: photographs from the ground, a note about the communities visited, and a record of what was given and to whom.

These updates are sent directly to contributors rather than published, and they are separate from the annual reporting above.
